
A Senior Journalist within the Upper West Region by name Morris Banaamwine has outlined Prices of some commodities in the market and expressed shock with the rate of Inflation in the Region and Ghana at large.
His statement came a day after the president issued an address on the state of issues in the country.
He expressed dismay with fast rising commodity prices on Radio Waa’s Wajaa Yela Program on 31st of October 2022.
“…The president outlined 12 measures, I took my time although I was demoralized and more confused but I was able to pick the 12 points, as we speak a cube of Maggi has become Ghc1, the full pack is over Ghc40, santex is getting to Ghc10 it’s Ghc9.50, Geisha is Ghc10, a gallon of oil is currently Ghc1,200, the 5 litre container of oil is currently over Ghc250, the cheapest rice, 50kg which was about Ghc350 is now Ghc500, that is the cheapest on the market”.
