Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong has Supported the Ghana Library Authority’s Office in Upper West Region to sort out electricity bills of up to Ghc70,000 during his tour in the Upper West Region on Wednesday 18th January 2023.
He was accompanied by some security officers and members of the New Patriotic Party.
Mr. Agyapong issued a cheque of Ghc70,000 to the Ghana Library Authority.
Some stakeholders have called for the Ghana Library Authority to be investigated after it failed to settle electricity bills piled up for over a period, According a concerned citizen by name Ayamga Bawa Fatawu, the facility was being rented out and the Internally Generated Funds Should have been used to Sort out such issues.
Mr Hayford Siaw, Executive Director of the Ghana Library Authority is yet to respond to the Development.

But how come the Library is unable to pay for its utilities when it is open to the public for rentals?”

“But this library charge fees event organizers for using their conference halls.So how come they can’t pay light bills?”
