Wa: Kidnappings and Killings: Former MCE Reacts to Developments

Former Wa Central MCE, Hon. Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha

A Former Municipal Chief Executive of Wa Municipality, Naa Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha has on 26th of August 2022 scoured into Recent killings and Kidnappings within the Wa Municipality.

Several Stakeholders Including the Wa Naa, the Police and Ghana Immigration Service had a meeting at the Wa Naa’s Palace Concerning the Developments on 8th of August 2022, the Meeting be was held After Foreigners were engaged in a close door meeting with regards to the murder of a security Man at Kpaguri in July 2022.

The Former MCE has Urged Stakeholders to involve the National Security in their probes and findings.

Statement

“The spade of abduction and killing of security men at post in the night within the Wa Municipality is very worrying and calls for a national security intervention to save the situation from further deterioration.

The Wala Traditional Council ,RESEC and MUSEC have done their best in tackling situation. However, their efforts need to be supported by a swift National Security intervention.

Meanwhile, the Wa Naa, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV has called for streetlighening to be improved, he said dark streets are partly the cause of such negative acts.

The Police has pledged Ghc50,000 for Information Regarding the Kidnap of a security Man on Nakore Road Three days Ago.
