Wa: Leadership tactics , Dr. Pelpuo Withstanding Over 200,000 Population

According to the 2000 population and Housing census, the Wa Municipality had a total population of 98,675. The growth rate of the municipality was 2.7%. Upper West Region had a population of 702,110 in 2010 and 901,502 in 2021..

The Population has increased Significantly from 98,675 in 2000 to 107,214 in 2010 and currently at 200,672 in the Space of 20 years. A difference of 101,997 from 2000’s Population.

Alhaji. Mumuni A. Seidu(Late) Was Member of Parliament for Wa Constituency From 7 January 1993 to 6 January 2005, Dr. Rashid Pelpuo Took Over from him in 2005 and has since won both Primaries and Elections till 2020.

The Population has since kept rising, per comparison with other Constituencies, the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency had Population of 94,388 in 2010, the Dafiama-Busie-Issa District was carved out of the Nadowli-Kaleo District in 2011. Before Then, one DCE was in charge of Bother Dafiama-Busie-Issa and Nadowli-Kaleo.

It was splitter and has two Assemblies and Two Members of Parliament.

Nadowli-Kaleo Per the 2021 Census has a population of 77,057 whilst the Dafiama-Busie-Issa District has a population of 38,754.

Currently Two MP are in charge of a Population of 115,811 including two District Chief Executives (DCEs).

Wa Central With a Population of 200,672 can be divided into two Municipalities with two members of Parliament or three Districts with Three Members of Parliament based on the Population.

More District Offices, More District Assemblies, More District Police Posts, More District Hospitals, More District Education and Health Offices, More District Public Offices for More Jobs and More Taxes to be Mobilized.
