
Some Motorbike Dealers have expressed worry with the low patronage of Motorbikes in the Upper West Regional capital Wa.
In an interview with some dealers on the Wa Dodoo Street, a dealer[Be Withheld] indicated that since December 2022, only two motorbikes were paid for.
He blamed the Development partly on the hike in prices to factors Including increase in value of the dollar in the past 3 months, a dollar was trading at Ghc14 in some Banks within the Month of November, 2022. It dropped significantly to Ghc9 in December and Ended the Year at Ghc9.
A Luojia Bike Which sold at Ghc5,500 in September 2022 currently sells at Ghc11,000 at some shops in the Upper West Region. Some dealers have also suggested prices may come down after 4 months beginning December.
The patronage of new registration numbers for 2023 have dropped relatively compared with 2022.
Demand for slightly used motorbikes have skyrocketed in the Region with some resorting for such options at slightly moderate prices.
