The Overlord of Waala Traditional Area Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV has received a donation of 100 Streetlights from the Member of Parliament, Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo.

The Donation was made at the Palace of the Overlord on Friday, 21st of October 2022.

The Chief Thanked the Member of Parliament for his support towards improving the lightening system in Wa Municipality.

Some Areas with dark streets at night include Bamahu, Nayiri, Kumbiehi, Kunta, Mangu and Choko-Nakore Streets.

Few Weeks Ago, The Overlord of Wa appealed to the Wa Municipal Assembly to Make provision for streets to be bright in order to curtail criminal activities such as abduction, killing and stealing in the Town.

Meanwhile the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council provided 4,000 Streetlights to the various Municipal and District Assemblies for Street lightening.
