The Wa Central Constituency Chairman of National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Issahaku Famina has threatened to Suspend any party member that will generate instability within the Spheres of the party ahead of the Party’s Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries Slated for 13th May 2023.
Speaking to Upper West Media Team at Wa NDC Secretariat in Kabanye on 20th March 2023, the Chairman, Alhaji Famina noted that the decision was necessary because it will ensure discipline and conformity during and after the internal Elections.
“.. I have spoken with the party members and I have cautioned that if any Party member should insult the other or cause any form of commotion I would ensure that I set up a committee and get such a Party member suspended, our focus should be on marketing any successful aspirant to ensure that we win the upcoming elections…”.
He also Discouraged party Executives from openly campaigning for selected Aspirants.
“…I have cautioned party executives I told them to avoid open campaign, they should ensure that any member that wins, we can work with the person because if you go out campaigning it will generate some form of misconceptions and in the end that will not bring unity, so I personally called some executives to advise them on the consequences of openly supporting a candidate..”
Alhaji Famina was elected in 2022 to replace Mr. Mohammed Sule as Constituency Chairman.
