A new police station is set to be opened by the Ghana Police Service ahead of official opening of The Wa Timber Market located in Nakore.

The Police Station is situated in Nakore and labelled Nakore Police Station.

It’ll serve the security needs of Nakore-Chansa Electoral Area and and the Timber Market which is expected to accommodate about 100 Timber Companies and Sawmills in the Region.

According to the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, the Timber Market will be opened before the Year Ends.

The Timber Market Situated between Nakore and Chansa is over 2 Hectors of land. A hectare is a land measuring100m x 100m OR 328ft x 328ft. It is about two and a half acres. A Hectare consists of 15 plots. The total area of land in an acre is 43,560 square feet.
