Deputy Director of Africa Imagination Network(Ainet), Mr. Abubakari Saani

Deputy Director of Ainet Mr Abubakari Saani has Urged Directors of Education within to release Performance Results of Basic Schools to the Media in order to liberate them from the status of unperforming public Institutions.

He explained that some parents have lost confidence in public education system because they have no reliable information concerning the performance of schools in order to take Decisions and give credit where it’s due.

He Used the Opportunity to Commend Staff of SDA JHS in Wa over their outstanding Performances in the past few years.

“’s a sad story to begin with, results are things that we should not deprive the public domain Especially the media houses, the funny aspect is that if private school results have been released and media can have access to it, what’s wrong with the public schools?, When you look at the system right now there isn’t always a fair advantage to the public schools, there are a lot of things the public schools are being deprived and it is not helping Education in the Region and the country as a whole..”

“It shouldn’t be an advocacy it’s quite incumbent on them to see to it that what is expected is done, it’s not something we have to remind people, it’s supposed to be a responsibility of stakeholders to do what is expected and once it’s not done it’s not creating a very good picture…”

The West African Examination Council has released Results of Students who sat for BECE in 2022.
