Wa: Reverend Father Passes On

A Diocesan Administrator of Wa has been reported dead in a Letter Dated 4th August 2023.

Very Rev. Father Edward B. Tengan passed on 3rd August 2023 but the Cause of his Death has not been immediately made known to Upper West Media Team.

He passed on at the age of 71 years.

With profound sorrow, pain and a heavy heart, I regret, on behalf of the College of Consultors of Wa Diocese, to inform you that our dear brother, Very Rev. Fr. Edward B. Tengan, the Diocesan
Administrator, returned to the Heavenly Father, yesterday, Thursday, 3rd August 2023, in the evening. He was 71 years old.

Please, kindly convey this sorrowful news to all the faithful within your parishes, institutions and communities and solicit their prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of Very Rev. Fr. Edward B. Tengan.

Details of the funeral arrangements will be communicated later. We continue to share the fin trust that the Lord whom Very Rev Fr. Edward B. Tengan faithfully served will grant him the peace of his Kingdom.

8 months Ago in December 2022, the Catholic Diocese of Wa nominated Fr. Edward B. Tengan as the Diocesan Administrator after the then Bishop later Elevated to Cardinal, Richard Kuuia Cardinal Baawobr Passed on.

Late Cardinal Richard Kuuia Baawobr was Bishop of the Wa Diocese since May 2016 before he passed on.
