Some Sachet Water Producers in Upper West Region have held a meeting amidst inflation in the country lately.

In the meeting held with Upper West Media Present on Sunday 25th September 2022, the Secretary, Mr. Wiyor Abass indicated that the urge to increase prices was facilitated by several factors.

He mentioned some of the factors including high cost of packaging roles, high cost of electricity, high cost of fuel for transportation.

The Association proposed that Beginning October 2022, a sachet of Water will be sold at Ghc0.50p whilst a bag will be sold at Ghc9.

The Secretary Indicated that an offloader is paid Ghc15 for offloading 100 bag whilst a distributor is paid Ghc0.50 for selling a bag, which meant that if a distributor sells 100 bags he or she is entitled to Ghc500.

A bag of Water was sold at Ghc5 in January 2022 but was later reduced to Ghc4 in April.
