On the 16th of September 2022, a security Man by name Seidu Dakpuli Aged 49, from Kpongu was Kidnapped in line of duty.

He had left home to Noor Ventures close to Wa Technical Institute where he was stationed but was later Kidnapped.

His body was found few days after in the bushes between Bamahu and Kpongu, some parts of his were missing.

“I have been upset and not been myself ever since I heard the news, he was the only person we relied on, if leaders do not sit up to apprehend those behind this menace, they may move to our homes when we are asleep”.

She called for Swift Investigations and for Justice to be served.

Spokesperson of Late Dakpuli’s Family Mr.Salifu Braimah spoke to the Media, he stated:
“We know the police is doing their best but as a family we could not sit aloof, it was due to this we also did our search, it was on the search that we suspected that something could be buried there, and truly we saw something buried and it was our brother”.

The Spokesperson Demanded for Justice on behalf of the Family.

“he is the breadwinner of the Family and married to a wife with 5 biological children, as a breadwinner of the family it’s a major loss and we are appealing to the security services to do well to get to the bottom of the matter so that Justice will be served”.

12 cases of Kidnappings and Killings have been recorded in Upper West Region within 2022 alone.
Police have arrested four Suspects in connection to that.
