Upper West Regional Command Of Ghana Immigration Service has apprehended several foreigners reportedly engaging in Acts suspected to be linked to terrorism.
According to the Regional Public Relations Officer, Immigration Control Officer (ICO) Ibn Yussif Duranah Abdul-Mumin Seidu, Investigations are currently ongoing to get to the root of the issue.

Following the viral audio alleging that some suspected terrorists were living in Kpaguri in the Wa Municipality, the Upper West Regional Second in Command of the GIS moved in to Kpaguri and to the specific house where the suspects were residing.
At Kpaguri, Two (02) Nigerians were picked. The Two suspects led the officials to Sombo where another Five (05) suspects of Burkina Faso origin were also picked. Preliminary investigation revealed that all the Seven (07) Ecowas nationals were into QNet instead. It is further established that some of them lived in the Southern part Ghana for over Five (05) months and recently came to Wa. Additionally, while in the Southern part of Ghana, they were engaged in construction and other menial labour.
Their basic details has been taken to assist in deeper investigation.
In the light of the above verifiable information, we urge the general public, particularly the good people of the Upper West Region not to panick but to continue with their normal daily routines. We further urge the general public to hold in high esteem the maxim of ‘See Something Say Something.’ Security is a shared responsibility and we treasure the existing impeccable relationship with the public and the security agencies.
