The Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Alban Kingsford Bagbin has visited Wa Senior High School on Friday 30th June 2023 to inspect the ongoing construction of the Ultramodern Auditorium at the school.

Rt Hon Alban Bagbin embarked on the inspection tour to appraise himself with the state of the facility so far as well as interact with the staff and students.

Before visiting the construction site, Mr Speaker held a closed door meeting with the Headmaster, Mr. Iddrisu Adam Thirdman and management of the school to have foreknowledge of the teaching and learning environment in his alma mater.

In his address to the enthusiastic crowd of students and teachers at the site, Mr Speaker assured the school of his unflinching support towards the infrastructural needs of the school to put it among the best not only in the Upper West Region but across the country.

The Rt Hon Speaker ceased the occasion to implore the students to defy the odds and strive to reach their potentials using himself as the example for them to emulate.

The consultant for the project Mr Julian Saaka took the entourage through the structural drawings of the project and made a strong pledge on behalf of the contractors to finish within schedule for the facility to be used for the impending Fiftieth Anniversary Celebration of the School next year.

Rt Hon Alban Bagbin assured that the 2,000 seater capacity auditorium would not suffer any payment setbacks as he will honour payment certificates promptly.

The facility which is solely-funded by the Speaker is estimated to cost about Twelve Million, Eight Hundred and Forty-Four Ghana Cedis (GHS12,844,000).
