The University Council at it’s 8th Session held on June 15, 2023 approved the appointment on promotion of Joseph Dery Nyeadi (PhD) to a rank of Associate Professor of Finance.

Brief Profile

A dedicated, energetic, and highly ambitious Chartered Accountant and a Senior Lecturer in the field of Finance and Accounting, who succeeds in challenging and dynamic environments. He is committed to inspiring and nurturing students’ thirst for learning. He is skilled in constructive and effective teaching delivery that foster a stimulating learning environment along with excellent administrative, written and verbal communication skills. He is numerate and analytical with strong, organisational and communication skills; always a team player with a zeal for learning, adapt to changes with ease, and proven ability to work unsupervised. He teaches in both Finance and Accounting courses. He has published over 25 articles in ranked Journals and 3 book chapters in reputable outlets. He is the current Head of Department for the Department of Banking and Finance. Before joining SDD-UBIDS in 2020 as a senior lecturer, he lectured earlier at Wa Polytechnic and UMaT respectively for over 12 years.

Elias Danyi Kuusaana (PhD) was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Land Management by the University Council on June 15, 2023, at their 8th meeting.

Profile of Prof. Elias Danyi Kuusaana

Elias Danyi Kuusaana is an enthusiastic, hardworking and purpose driven young academic in land management in Ghana.

He is a Senior Lecturer in Land Management at the SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS) – Ghana. He is currently the Head of Department for Land Management (DLM) and Coordinator of Academic Programmes at the West African Centre for Sustainable Rural Transformation (WAC-SRT). He is also the Editorial Secretary of the Journal of Planning and Management (JPLM). At SDD-UBIDS, he teaches principles of law, customary land law, land use planning, land administration, land policy, conflict management, and compulsory acquisition and compensation. He has also supervised and examined over 15 MPhil theses locally and with partner Universities abroad and currently supervises 2 PhD Candidates. He has over the years built his competencies around land tenure research and has particularly published on land tenure and gender disparity, land dispute resolutions touching on customary tenure systems. He has 1 book chapter and over 40 peer-reviewed research papers published in top journals, including Land Use Policy, Rural Studies, Resource Policy, Urban Forum, Land Journal, Urban Governance, Commonwealth Journal of Local Governance, and Journal for Development Studies, among others.
