Two Students were apprehended by the Upper West Regional Police Command for Misconduct at Wa Technical Institute yesterday, 25th July 2023.

According to Warris Anaakaa on Home Radio’s Tejaa Yela Program, he indicated that a House Master of the School, Mr. Ishmail Musah Froko was on duty trying to ensure the school was in order, along the line, he confronted a student in a dormitory block and in the process the student threw a stone on him which affected the teacher’s eye, he added that one other student used a pair of scissors on a colleague student the same day.

Narrating the Issue with Details, the School’s Principal, Mr. Saaka Adams explained what actually occured.

“..I was in my office when Information got to me that a student used a stone on of the School’s staff, I went and confirmed the development, the affected staff is a housemaster and his duty is to ensure he gets to the houses to find out what’s happening in them, so he met the said student and confronted him when he was improperly dressed, in the process of seeking explanation, the student picked up a stone and threw it on his teacher’s face, it affected his eye, so the issue is above our school rules, it’s a criminal act, so we have handed over the issue to the police..”

The Principal Indicated that the Second Suspect Used a Scissors on one of his colleagues after he was spotted in the dormitory during classes hours.

“…those two boys are friends, they move together, I have tried helping them on several occasions but their attitude is just beyond control, he used a scissors on one of his colleagues it has affected the victim’s hand, I have directed that the issue is handed to the police..”

The House Master is currently receiving treatment at the Wa Municipal Hospital.
