Busa Community

Some Community Members in Busa Electoral Area have expressed shock with the abysmal performance of students who sit for Basic Education Certificate Examinations in the Community.

The indigenes in a homecoming Festival held on the 29th of December 2022 Indicated that students in the community scored as low as 0% in Mathematics for the 2021 sitting, a Development they tagged as Unfortunate.

The Paramount Chief of Dafaima Traditional Area, Naa Dikomwini Domalae II reacted to the Development and urged Residents not to solely Blame Teachers.

“…All the figures were telling us about Education, some of us were surprised, Remember if you see a hundred people, if you want to ‘steal the back of teachers’ make sure you don’t ‘steal the back of teachers’ when two or three people are moving, everybody has been a teacher before, I have been a pupil teacher throughout, ended up in the secondary school and at some point I became a runaway teacher, so it’s important that the Education everybody is laying emphasis on is the only one thing that can save us, very important..”

His Statements were supported by some other stakeholders including the NPP Wa Central Constituency Chairman, Mr. Hamid Osuman who stated that some relevant bodies such as the Office of the Member of Parliament should step inn with initiatives such as award schemes to motivate students.

The Residents Called for the Intervention of the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Sophia Dimah Nandzo.
