
Mr. Bernard Anbataayela Mornah, former Chairman of People’s National Convention (PNC) has outlined why President Akufo-Addo and the Road Ministry cannot construct 23 roads in Wa West District as was indicated by the President.
Mr. Mornah also Expressed Shock with the promises made at Nandom by The Akufo-Addo led Government to construct a 2-kilometer dual carriage road in Nandom.

The President Disclosed in Wechiau the Government’s plans to construct 23 roads on 23rd of August 2022 during his tour.
According to Mr. Mornah, the Government is only on their usual course to promise without delivering.

“Which roads are we taking about, I have travelled the lengths and breadths of the Region, there is no doubt that every Government does their part, when you mention construction what do you mean by construction, tarred road or surfacing?, Sometimes when they say construction, what they mean is to spread gravel, that is resurfacing but that is also construction”.
He referred back to 2021 when the Government promised to construct bridges yet could not fulfill the Promise
“In 2021 our roads were washed away by Flood, they promised to fix the roads and construct bridges, have those bridges been constructed?, They came and did the usual culvets, when is rained previously, I was at South Africa but saw people posting roads on social media, Communication Secretary of PNC, Ishaq Awudu, the last time he posted the Road leading to Jonga, he had expressed frustration with every Government and prayed to work on the road by himself and instead of acknowledging that the deficit is enormous, we are here praising ourselves for tokenism.”
