My first day at school has been an annual ritual in the Ghana Education Service (GES) calendar over time.
It’s a day where children that have turned to school going age are admitted and welcomed into the formal education system.
Early today, the 10th of January 2023, the Member of Parliament for the Wa West Constituency Hon. Supt. (Rtd) Peter Toobu Lanchene visited the above mentioned schools to fraternize with the pupils of the two schools.
He distributed pens, pencils, exercise books, my first copy books and erasers among others to the children.
Moreover, the MP encouraged the pupils to endeavor to take their studies seriously as they cannot make it in life without education.
He further admonished the teachers to remain committed to their jobs and know that teaching young children at their formative years is critical and must be treated with all the seriousness it deserves.
The teachers showed their appreciation for all the support they have enjoyed from the MP so far.
