Wa West: Residents of Asse Worried Over Deplorable Roads

Residents of Asse, a farming community in the Wa West District have bemoaned over the stated of their roads.

Communicating with Upperwestmedia Team, a resident by name Kenneth Kangmene-nye described the situation as one that has retarded their development to an extent. He concluded that Community members have used communal labor to fix the road temporally whilst waiting for government through the District Chief Executive, Hon. Vida Diorotey to intervene.

“This is the current situation of the road linking Asse, a community under wa west District to the regional capital (Wa).

The community members mobilized themselves finding a temporal solution to this menace as you can see in the Video.
They are therefore appealing to government, NGOs, CSOs and individuals to come to their aid to find a lasting solution this problem.

Wa West District is the Second most populated District in Upper West Region behind Wa Municipality with 96,957 inbabitants. Wa Municipality currently has a Population of 200,672 per the the 2021 Population and housing Census.
