Students of Lassia-Tuolu SHS in the Wa West District have Reportedly been charged an amount of Ghc100 to support in feeding contrary to Ghana Education Service directive banning levying of students.
Per the GES Code of Ethics No Student should be levied without the consent of the Director General of the Service.
The Free Senior High School Policy has made provision for food to be supplied to all public boarding senior high schools in the country as part of the President Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS Policy.
The Development was captured by Home Radio in the Wa Municipality on Thursday 13th of July 2023, few days after some students of TI Ahmadiyya SHS were charged to provide the school with three bags of cement.
“School Feeding Brouhaha: Lassia Tuolu Senior High School allegedly accused of making students contribute Ghc 100 each to support their feeding. Some parents confirmed the contribution through Mobile money.

Meanwhile reports reaching Upper West Media Team from a parent has indicated that students of Islamic Senior High School in Wa-Busa have also been asked to pay Ghc150.
