In a press release issued on Thursday, the chieftaincy institution expressed deep concern over the rising spate of moral decay and issued a stern warning to those involved.According to the press release signed by Naa Ali Pelpuo Yelmaana, Paramount of Busa Traditional Area on behalf of the Overlord, the Traditional Council had recently voiced its opposition to issues such as pornography and LGBTQI+ activities within its jurisdiction. However, the council’s recent statement highlighted yet another disturbing trend – the emergence of pedophilia in the area. This act, characterized by the exploitation and abuse of minors, was met with fierce condemnation from the council
The Waala Traditional Council thereby expressed its dissatisfaction with the moral decline among the youth and the prevalence of pedophilia cases. They extended their unwavering support to the security agencies operating in the region, urging them to take decisive action against perpetrators of such immoral acts.
