Few days ago,  the Overlord of Waala Traditional area,  Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV had pledged to support the Ministry of Lands And Natural Resources with some plots of Land to achieve their Green Ghana Campaign and project to plant more trees.

The Ministry had planted over one Million Trees spearheaded by the Minister,  Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor 2021. The Upper West Region Received their share of 100, 000 trees to plant.

Some Group of Young Men have stormed the rain forest in Between Kpongu and Bamahu Cutting down and processing some number of trees into Waawaa Boards. The young men numbering two were speaking twi whilst felling the trees with a machine.
It took them at least 15 minutes to cut down and process a tree into at least 20 pieces of Waawaa boards. They weren’t accompanied by any environment officer or Land lord.

The development took place 800 meters west of Fanco Hotel and 400 meters North of Lamdi Poultry Farm.

Its not known whether they are Invaders from some other region or from Upper West.
