Upper West Police Command Issues Statement after Carry Off at Private School

The Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Peter Ndekugri has Issued a Statement in a Letter Dated 13th September after a security Man was Kidnapped at Star Standards International School in Wa.

According to the Police, tricycles such as Motorkings Popularly called ‘Nyaaba Lorry’ should seize moving after 10pm, the statements also seems to invite all Institutions and business me engaging the services of Security Men in the Wa Municipality.

Statement

The Upper West Regional Police Command solicits the general pubiic to adust to its contingency measures in order to address the current state
of happenings in the Wa Municipality.

The Command wishes to have a broader consultation with all
stakeholders who engage the services of private security men (watchmen)
on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 12:30pm at GNAT Hall.

The Command further wishes to caution all tricycle riders (Nyaaba lorry)

to desist from moving after 10:00pm since emergency situations demand
for stringent measures to bridge lapses.
The Command will continue to roll out policies to augment the current proactive policies in place. There is the need tor the public to exercise restraint for the collective achievement of desired results.
