Assembly Members within Upper West have received a total of 442 motorbikes to aid in their movements within the course of their service to their various electoral areas.

The assembly members elected in 2015 were issued with these motorbikes on 27th of March 2019 by the Deputy Regional Minister, Amidu Chinnia and the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Issahaku Tahiru after which these Assembly members were admonished to use the bikes to boost the decentralization process by using it to enhance their movement.
The motorbikes are to be distributed amongst the 11 districts in Upper West.
The Deputy Regional Minister Posted on his Facebook Wall:
“It was an honour for me to on behalf of the president of the republic hand over 442 motor bikes to the Deen of presiding members in the upper west region for onward presentation to each one of the 442 honourable assembly members in the region. This presentation is in line with the president vision of strengthening decentralization in the country. I also used the opportunity to ask beneficiaries to make good use of the motor bikes so that they become more efficient in the discharge of their duties.”
