The Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly with effect from 31st of March 2020 has suspended all market activities indefinitely to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

In a letter Dated 29th March 2020 and Signed by the District Coordinating Director, Madam Safia Abdulai, the temporal suspension as stated will affect all weekly marketing activities in Nadowli, Kaleo, Tangasia, Kalesagira, Charikpong, Sankana, Jang, Takpo and Nanvilli markets.

The Assembly called for all to conform with the stated plan to prevent the spread of the global pandemic called Covid-19.

Upper West has recorded one case of Coronavirus so far.
