
The member of parliament who also double as deputy minister designate for Water resources and Sanitation Hon. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku has pledge to fix the poor state of Tumu sports stadium, he said it was bad for teams from Tumu to travel to Wa for their homes games due to the luck of AstroTurf in the Tumu sports stadium.
The minister made this known after he watch a defeat between Real 24hours of Tumu and Steadfast FC of Tamale, the match ended 2-1 in favour of the Tamale base team. Hon. Chinnia made the revelation after the sad defeat of the Tumu based team and said teams from Tumu must play their home games in Tumu.
He posted this on his Facebook wall after the game, read what he said in full. “I was in the Wa sports stadium today to watch a match between Real 24 hours from Tumu and Steadfast FC of Tamale. The match ended 2: 1 in favour of Steadfast FC. This brings to fore the need to fix the Tumu Sports Stadium and I will lead the charge to fix it. Next time we must play our home match in Tumu.”
