
The Ghana Statistical Service is by this communique announcing to the general public on the current statistics on inflation rate in the country.
It has been reported that for the first time in Ghana a different region took the lead over the Greater Accra Region in terms of inflation after the regional break down.
The regional break down shows that the upper west region has recorded the highest rate of inflation with 13.4% followed by Northern region with closed to 13%.
Greater Accra which happens to be the all time inflation region has been ranged 3rd with 11.9%.
Consumer price index has been increased to 9% by July which made it difficult for the average Ghanaian to make earns meat with their low income.
In the Upper West Region price of commodities has been extra high to the extend that most people in the Upper West Region have started trooping to other regions to afford goods since the prices in the region is too high.
