Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament,  Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin has donated to the Waala Royal Household during the Dumba Festivities.

The speaker of parliament, Alban Sumani Bagbin gave ninety-two thousand cedis (Ghc92,000) worth of sound system and a cash amount of 50,000 cedis (Ghc50,000), amounting to a total of 142,000 to his Majesty’s palace during the climax of the festival.

The donation was made on behalf of the speaker of parliament by Hon Dr Rashid Pelpuo, the member of parliament for Wa central constituency and Hon Dede Ziedeng, MP for Lawra.

Another illustrious son of the region, Alhaji Alhassan Gbangu donated ten thousand cedis for Wa Naa’s campaign to raise money to support Wa Nursing Training College.

The paramount chiefs of Kojokperi and Manwe had earlier on donated one thousand (1,000.00) and five hundred (500.00) Ghana cedis respectively towards the same course. His Majesty terms the support for the NTC, Wa as the product of the 2021 Dumba festival.
