Few days after some caterers had their appointment terminated,  a team is set to investigate the development in the Lambussie District.

On the 26th January 2022, I engaged the communication officer, EDMUND Gyebi at the Ghana School Feeding Secretariat, Head office on the happenings vis-a-vis school feeding in the Lambussie District.

The communication officer was very receptive and said they have read about the issue on social media and have taken a serious concern for it.

They tried calling the desk officer in the District but his phone was not going through. They however received complaints from the Regional Coordinator, Madam Dina indicating that the sacked caterers were non-performing, but her request is not granted yet.

They re-emphasized that the Ghana School Feeding secretariat has not authorized anybody, anywhere to change any caterer.

According to them, “There’s going to be a re-engagement with the caterers before any decision will be taken”

According to the communication officer, “they are only working and aware of caterers on their payroll, so, therefore, the old caterers can go on with their cooking without any fears”

Meanwhile, the operation director will be sending a team to investigate the matter and to restore calm.
