
A motorcycle accident involving two men from opposite directions have met their untimely deaths in Bujan in the Sissala East constituency.
An eye witness Mr Kaderi Batong who spoke with Radford newsroom said the incident happened on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at around 7:45 pm.
Accordingly, a 25 year old man, Kaderi Anvia who was coming from the direction of Challu on a motorcycle suspected to be overspeeing ran onto Issifu Barry 28 years of age whom eyewitnesses say finished Maghreb(muslim evening prayer) in Bujan before taking off with similar motorbike to his community, Yigantu.
The source added the two who crashed were not wearing helmets and as result sustained various degrees of injuries in their heads and limbs.
Consequently, the Bujan community organised a trycicle and conveyed the victims to the Tumu municipal hospital but died shortly after admission.
Officials of the Tumu hospital said the deceased Kaderi was being managed at the emergency ward where he passed on and in about an hour later Issifu Barry also died with multiple injuries on the head and fractures of the leg.
A woman who was on the same bike riding with one of the deceased, Kaderi Anvia on the motorcycle has however survived the accident and she is currently responding to treatment.
Motor accidents account for several deaths and life-threatening injuries among the people of the Sissala area who mostly ignore the call by the National road safety for motor riders to wear crash helmets.
