
Efforts to secure funds to complete the Pulima and Fielmua town water systems, and rehabilitation of the Pulima dam is on course, the District Chief Executive of the Sissala West district, Hon. Aisha Batong Hor has disclosed.
The DCE stated that the government is making efforts to secure funding for the projects to be completed.
She has however failed to give a timeline as regards when the funds will be available for the exercise.
In an interview with Radford Newsroom the Assembly member for the Pulima Electoral Area, Hon. Balaali Abdulai Razark has said water supply in the area has not been the best, giving the rapid growth and expansion of the Pulima community.
According to the Assembly member, the Pulima town water project has not seen any major works again since the drilling of three reservoirs in 2019.
While commending the DCE for the efforts she has being making to complete the water town project, Hon. Balaali A. Razark has appealed to the DCE and the District Assembly to double efforts to ensure the completion of the project to save the water supply situation in Pulima.
Meanwhile, addressing the Chiefs and people of the Gandawii Traditional Area during the 11th edition of the Gandawii Naabahilime festival, Hon. Aisha Batong Hor has also told the gathering that “the Assembly has supported in the construction of 1No. CHIPS (compound) at Sorbelle and drilled 1No. borehole at Woriku to improve health care delivery and increase access to quality water” respectively.
The 2022 edition of the Gandawii Naabahilime festival was celebrated on the theme: “harnessing the full potential of the youth: the role of science, technology and vocational education”.
