THE SORRY STATE OF THE TUMU SPORTS STADIUM
It is disappointing to see the Sissala East municipal Sports Stadium at a very sorry and devastating state after last year’s Division II league matches.
The inner parameter which was constructed by former member of parliament, Hon. Hajia Rafatu Halutie Dubie has now deteriorated and doesn’t befit the status of the municipality.
Sports in the municipality is producing results. For instance Real 24hrs FC on April 16, 2016 hosted the famous Asante Kotoko in an FA Cup match; however, the recent state of the facility is not encouraging, and therefore requires urgent attention to salvage the situation.
The walls of the stadium are broken-down, making it open for free entry into the stadium by everyone.
Also, the fence wire used is now weak and was crambled together during the previous matches that were played.
The Municipal Sports Committee, which was inaugurated by former MCE Hon. Karim Nanyua, led by it’s Chairman Alhaji Baba Pele should start to seek urgent solutions from the authorities to renovate the facility to give it a befitting status.
A special appeal should be made to the member of parliament for the Sissala East constituency, Hon.
Amidu Chinnia Issahaku to help salvage the deplorable state of the fence wall and inside the stadium.
And to all, in order to produce more talents in the Sissala enclave, the current condition of the field needs improvement to achieve that aim.
