A political science lecturer of the University of Ghana, Dr. Jabuntie Joshua Zaato has proposed some measures to the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Sissala East and Sissala West constituency executives to end tensions being witnessed at some communities in the ongoing polling station elections.

He has proposed increase in security personnel and equipping them with the needed logistics; ensuring effective communication among party supporters; drawing of timetable for the elections and creation of a 100-parameter space on the grounds to help address the pandemoniums.

Speaking on the Radford Masie Breakfast Show today, March 3, 2022 Dr. Jabuntie J. Zaato said the proposals being offered are based on experiences he has gathered during the elections held at some of the polling stations.

Also on the Show, the NPP Sissala West constituency Financial Secretary, Mr. Sulley Karim has urged members with highly tensed-up interests should start softening and beating down their enranged interests for cool heads to prevail to ensure peaceful elections.

These remarks come at the back of pockets of violences that have broken-out in the ongoing NPP polling station elections particularly in Wellembelle and Tumu, and Fatchu and Bouti in the Sissala East and Sissala West constituencies respectively, leaving some people sustaining various degrees of cutlass inflicted wounds, among others.

Dr. Jabuntie Joshua Zaato has however said, so far, the exercise has largely been successful in the Sissala East constituency.
