The Assembly Member for Kpongu Electoral Area, Hon. Kawabdeen Shaibu has declared his support for mounting ‘illegal Speed Ramps’ on His Electoral Area Roads.

This was after some Youth within Kpongu were spotted mounting speed Ramps Meters after Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University. In an interview with an eyewitness, he explained that speeding motorbikes riders and drivers have frequently killed their Animals due to over speeding.

The Assembly Man has responded to the Development

Good afternoon
To be honest with you, I’m not aware and you are the one informing me but I am fully in support of it; illegal speed ramps

1. Not only animals as they claim, we lost precious human and breadwinners lives due to some careless and over speed drive/vehicles

2. I have personally written to assembly and Wa urban roads for this speed ramps and extension of the road along the damp/dung out in February 2020
Infact, if urban roads office were having a visitors attendance, my name would have been a committed and prominent visitor.
I do go to the office in every two weeks to follow up before I traveled.

They received my letter not less than 9 good months before they started some speed ramps contractions in the Wa township in 2020 somewhere November.
The Director said they have awarded the contract but up to now, nothing.
I am 100% in support of what my people did even though I wasn’t informed.

Had it been that we were provided with the legal speed ramps would they have been mounting the illegal ones? Absolutely no.
