Some Sachet Water Producers in Parts of Wa have increased their prices from Ghc3.50 to Ghc5 after a close door meeting with some of their members.

This was after a failed attempts to keep prices at Ghc4.50 in 2021, a period they increased prices from Ghc3.00 to Ghc4.50, it took the intervention of Delicia Mineral Water Kulmasa, Savannah Region to reduce the price to Ghc4.00.

The Chairman of Sachet Water Producers association, Alhaji Toyiba Mahama referred to the increase in price of electricity as a major factor for increase in prices, he added that price of production materials such as packaging roles have increased.

Three water production companies in Wa have maintained their prices at Ghc4 despite pressure mounted on them to increase prices.
