The chief of Pulima who doubles as the paramount chief for the Gandawii Traditional Area, Kuoru Osman Deiwia Nankpa III has called on his colleague chiefs in the Sissala area to unite and work for the collective interests of their people, and avoid their individual interests.
Giving his remarks at Dasima during the installation and outdooring ceremony of Kuoru Nmasi Huaru Barson Batong VI, the Gandawii paramount chief has cautioned that “if we are not united you will see that anytime we speak nobody will listen to us, and so we the chiefs in authority, let’s walk the road our people have reposed in us, and avoid walking roads of our liking “, he said.
The chief said this to draw home the need for unity and collectivism particularly on the part of traditional leaders to propel the government to address the deplorable state of roads in the Sissala enclave.
He said for a long time, Sissala chiefs have not been united to always present a common compelling front to governments, and that has always denied the people to get their share in the national cake particularly in the roads sector.
The chief has therefore said, as the two youngest chiefs, he and his other colleague paramount chief for the Buwaa Traditional Area, Kuoru Ninia Sukabe Abu Diyaka III are ready at anytime to respond to calls pertaining to the Sissala roads and other development matters confronting the Sissala area from the two elderly paramount chiefs for the Tumu and Gwollu Traditional Councils, Kuoru Richard Babini Kanton VI and Kuoru Kuri Buktie Limann IV respectively, and has told them never to hesitate in that regard.
Kuoru Osman Deiwia Nankpa III has however called for the support of the general public to help them fight the course to bring about the needed development to the area.
Meanwhile, he has said he was able to, during a government’s E-levy townhall meeting that was organized in Wa on February 21, 2022, subtly remind the government officials in that meeting about the sorry state of roads in the Sissala area, requiring urgent response from the government.
