The upper West Regional police command has disclosed the discovery of an unknown dead body in Charile, a community in the Wa West district of the Upper West Region on Monday April 4, 2022.

According to a press release dated April 7, 2022 and signed by Mr. Gideon Ohene Boateng the Public Relations Officer of the Upper West Police Command, the unknown dead body “… was seen lying dead in a supine position at Charile, a community in the Wa West district of the upper West Region.”

The Upper West Regional Police Command requires the general public to provide information on a male adult aged about 24 (now deceased) who was seen lying dead in a supine position at Charile, a community in the Wa West district of the upper West region on Monday April 4 2022 at about 6:00a.m.

The police was informed about the above incident by an opinion leader of Eggu electoral area

Police proceeded to the scene and found subject with a deep cut on his head and multiple of wounds on his legs. He was conveyed to the regional hospital/Wa, where he was pronounced dead by the medical officer on duty.

He is fair in complexion, stands at about 5 feet tall and has no tribal mark.

Anyone whose relative left home and has not returned or has information on him, should contact the Divisional Crime Officer/Wa for identification and collection of the body.

The regional police command, however wishes to advise the general public to exercise self-control and hand prospective suspects over to the police to untangle the true manifestation of issues, since other suspects could be involved or otherwise.
