Jirapa MP Donates to Rainstorm Victims in Ullo

The Member of Parliament for Jirapa Constituency, Hon.Cletus Seidu Dapilah has honoured his pledge to Support victims of a rainstorm disaster in Ullo.

The law maker was accompanied by party executives including party chairman Mr. David Yeng, Zongo Caucas Coordinator Mr. Mohammed Omari, Member of the Constituency Executive Mr. Zinekpieo Paschal, and others.

In the presence of the regent for Ullo and some elders, he the MP donated 25 packets of zinc, 24 boxes of roofing nails and 24 boxes of three inches nails.

This move is in fulfillment of an earlier pledge he made when the disaster first struck the people of Ullo.

In a short speech by the MP, he reminded all who were present that he would continue to do his best to assist in whatever capacity he can though his party is not in power.

He added that he would still lobby with other NGO’S and philanthropists to come to the aid of the people.

He assured the chief that he has the Ullo traditional area at heart and will continue to work for its development.

Meanwhile, the MP revealed he assisted in roofing Bakonogiri primary School, and a school at Ul-Gozu.

He further revealed that four packs of zinc, 15 bags of cement and 40 roofing boards were also donated to the people of Nabire to assist in construction of a primary school.

The MP who is also known as the grassrootman probably for his indepth knowledge on grassroots mobilization also indicated that he is working tirelessly in parliament to lobby for the extension of electricity to some of Ullo without light.

According to the MP, he has also filed a question in parliament to inquire about the state of the Ullo road construction.

Victims of the rainstorm disaster in Ullo can now comfortably rest at night knowing very well that they have a Member of Parliament who empathizes and keeps to his word.
