The member of parliament for the Sissala East constituency, Mr. Issahaku Amidu Chinnia has on April 16, 2022 handed over two boreholes, each to Kassana and Tanvieli.

He said the two projects were “constructed from my share of the district assembly common fund”, and that ” water they say is life and I am extremely happy to have provided water to the people of Kasana and Tanvieli”

The MP also took the opportunity to inspect an ongoing project funded by his share of Getfund to provide a 3-unit classroom block for Tanvieli.

The Tanvieli-Kassana area is one of the hard to reach areas, that lacks many basic social amenities like water, electricity, road network and network services among others.

On January 21, 2021 Radford FM News’ Araphat Dimah paid a visit to the area and at the time reported about the dilemma of some 30 pupils who trek 4 kilometers on a bushy road daily to Kasana to attend school.

Also, over 200 kids’ education was in limbo due to their inability to trek the same distance from Tanvieli to the school.

The MP was accompanied by the Sissala East municipal chief executive, Mr. Fuseini Yakubu Batong, the NPP constituency Chairman, Mr. Tahiru Suara Bakuri, other party faithfuls, and some officers from the municipal assembly.
