The New Patriotic Party within Jirapa  on the 22nd of April 2022, vetted aspirants to seeking to be elected into various positions in the upcoming constituency elections.

Mr. Aziz Gado, the chairman of the elections committee in an address before the exercise indicated that the committee had no power to disqualify any person except if the person is affected by the constitution of the party.

In the same vain, they equally cannot bring in anyone except the person is duly qualified.

The event which took place at the FMM hall was very successful. Almost all aspirants were through except one person constesting for Youth Organizer who had a petition on his age and hence was disqualified.

On balloting, the chairman to the committee indicated that there was a convention that gave priority position number one to incumbent chairmen. In this event the incumbent chairman with his entire group members were give slot one on the ballot.

The remaining positions were balloted between other groups. It was stated there that person’s who had grouped to contest will all take the position balloted for by their leader. Individuals who contest solo will then take up the last position.

At the close of event everyone was satisfied with the process. Below remain the positions
1. Tie Group
2. Abudu Group
3. Raymond Group.
4. The individual persons.
