The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has been commended for procurement of 4,000 street lights distributed to all 11 districts and municipalities to ensure concerns of security are partly addressed.

Some areas noted to have benefited from the streetlight lightening policy of the Regional Minister and Regional Coordinating Council include Kambali Street, Parts of Wa Township to Wa Senior High School with the exception of Kunta Electoral Area, other areas include the road leading to Wa Municipal Assembly from Wa Municipal Fire office, Sukpayiri and Parts of Dankpalihi Street.
In a statement from the Public Relations Office on Behalf of the regional Minister, it reads:

““I delivered the opening address at the 2nd General Meeting of the Upper West House of Chiefs in Wa. I informed the house that between December 2021 and March 2022, the Regional Coordinating Council procured 4000 streetlights which have been distributed to Municipal and District Assemblies in the region for installation.”
