A military base is set to be constructed in Dogo, a community in the Jirapa Municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Soyiri is currently set to foresee the survey process with Stakeholders.

This was revealed by the Municipal Information Office through Mr. Joseph Kontoma.

For sometime now, Hon. Nicholas Soyiri has been in constant negotiations with the landlords of Dogo a Community located along Duori road for a piece of land for the establishment of a Military Forward Operational Base.

Today, 25th April, 2022, the MCE together with Mr. Justice Dinaa representative of the Paramount Chief of Jirapa Traditional Area led a team from the Regional Military Command and the Contractor to engage the chief and landlords of Dogo Community for works to commence.

From Dogo Chief Palace, the landlords led the Hon. MCE team to visit the site earmarked for the project, after the site visit, a greenlight has been given for works to start.

In the coming days, the Contractor is expected to move to site.
