The cancer that has been destroying the NDC in my beloved Nandom constituency since 2015 is also beginning to destroy it’s twin brother, the NPP.
The incumbent MP from all indications is likely not to contest for the seat again in 2024.
But the way Ambrose Dery is allegedly
dictating how things should run in the party is likely to make it a severely bruised and a divided party before and after the 2024 presidential and parliamentary election.
The party is currently divided along two factions. One faction is led by Ambrose and the other being led by a Constituency officer whose name is refusing to pop up in my big
head as much as try to recall.
Currently, the fate of some nine people who successfully went through vetting to enable them contest in the party’s Saturday constituency elections is in limbo. They’re yet to see any report from the Ambrose Dery
constituted vetting committee clearing them to contest or disqualifying any of them from contesting.
But rumors has it that, old executives of the party including some new faces who are in the camp of Ambrose have their names being printed in a notice of poll somewhere within or outside the constituency.
