A Journalist within the Wa Municipality has outlined reasons behind recent abductions and Killings in Parts of Wa East District and Wa Municipality.

On Radio Waa’s Super Morning Drive Show(Wajaa Yela) on Monday 26th September 2022, Mr. Tinus Tuozie indicated that the Ritual killings won’t stop any time soon if ritual videos and adverts are not taken down from the media space, he blamed money ritual adverts for recent series of abductions in the Upper West Region.

“It will only double and double and keep giving us more problems, our young ones will watch TV and all they see are money doublers and juju men projecting requirements for one to succeed financially, if they demand for a fowl today, the nextime it will be a dog, followed by a cow and afterwards they will Demand for a human being, knowing very well you can’t turn back”.

Mr. Tinus Tuozie bemoaned the rate at which leaders are silent about the development, allowing money doublers in the media space.

13 Cases of Abductions and Killings have been recorded so far in 2022 alone.
The Inspector General of Police, Dr. Dampare was in the Region Accompanied by 300 police officers for visibility.

18 Suspects have been arrested in connection with the Developments but the current Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Peter Ndekugri will be going on retirement, 30th September 2022.
