The Upper West Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing has issued a statement in a letter dated 21st October 2022, giving new details about the Jirapa Constituency Elections.

He indicated that there has been a reveiw on earlier decision to suspend constituency Elections in Jirapa. The position of Deputy Constituency Organizer shall be on hold pending further directives from the leadership of the Party.

CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS IN JIRAPA CONSTITUENCY

You are hereby notified that the Jirapa constituency elections slated for

Saturday 22nd October 2022, shall take place as earlier planned.

However,the position of the Deputy Constituency Organizer shall be on
hold pending further directives from the leadership of the Party.

The earlier decision to put on hold the elections in Jirapa has now been
reviewed and the new directive is that elections in the Jirapa
constituency shall proceed accordingly as directed by the National Headquarters.

Please trcat this as an urgent directive from the National Headquarters as
modification of the carlicr direetive given.

I wish all aspirants the best of luck in tomorrow’s elections and request
that all delegates in the Jirapa Constituency should appear and cast their votes without fail in the interest of democracy.
