Black Stars

Views from the street of Tumu after Blackstars exit from the World Cup

Over twenty Ghanaian football enthusiasts were at the Radford Fm studio to watch the Black stars match against Uruguay.

There was the feeling of revenge but unfortunately, a penalty that was awarded and taken by the captain of the side (Andre Morgan Dede Ayew) was missed in the first half.

The Uruguayan later pressed and took the lead twice. The Blackstar played well but could not come back from behind to equalize the early goals conceded.
De Arraescata was the player who punished the Blackstar on both occasions by putting the two goals into their net.

Some soccer fans in Tumu spoke to RadfordFM after the match where, and about five of them mentioned that the coach of the Blackstars; Coach Otto Addo line up and the game plan did not work for him hence lost the game by two goals down and the other two mentioned that, left Back of the Blackstar, Baba Rahaman. Stating that he was too reluctant in the game hence the Uruguay national team used that area to get all their goals.

A. Chebe Wakil stated that “ I was very disappointed in the Blackstar game but the moment South Korea scored and I saw Suarez shedding tears, there I was happy a bit. In general, Black Star did not play well in my view, because I expected they should have been able to defend and at the end of the game with a draw but unfortunately they failed.”
Another soccer fan B. Moro Zainab “generally Ghana played poorly today. I went in to watch the game because I believed the Blackstars would have drawn or even win. To me, Baba Rahaman did not work to expectation hence, gave way for the Uruguayan national team to punish us, and surely they did.”

C. Ibrahim Dimah “I in particular felt that today’s loss was from Coach Addo, “I don’t understand why he changed the team that I won against the Korean Republic. So, to me, the game plan today and the lineup was all not in a good shape hence made us lose the game”
D. Hamza Wuttirira “ I asked Coach Addo, why did he change the team against South Korea. I immediately lost hope when I saw that he made changes to the squad. So generally I blamed the coach for this game loss.
E. Abubakar Naisha “ I can’t precisely blame the coach, my problem is the keeper we were supposed to send our first keeper(Wallcott) is injured so I feel that was a factor from the goals we conceded I could see that the keeper in a way was a problem. I also think we should do away with the Ayew brothers..”
