Management of DHLTU has donated sixty (60) pieces of furniture to Al-Azhar Junior High school School in Kpongu, in fulfillment of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the University.

In a short ceremony to hand over the furniture, Vice Chancellor of DHLTU, Professor Elias N.K Sowley noted that quality education was the most integral component of development in any society.

Professor Sowley indicated that it is the responsibility of the University to help address the needs of society. He gave the assurance that the University would continue to support the Al-Azhar Junior High school in particular and the Kpongu Community as whole.

Prof. Sowley called on the School to practice good maintenance culture to prolong the life span of the furniture.

Receiving the items, the P.T.A Chairman, Mr. Adamu Mahama, said furniture is one of the things the School was in dire need of and expressed gratitude to Management of the University for the assistance.

A representative of Kpongu Naa, Kajeu Naa Moomin also expressed gratitude to Management of the University for the gesture. He said it was his hope and prayer that the camaraderie that existed between the University and the Kpongu Community would continue to grow from strength to strength.
