Residents of Sabuli in the Jirapa Municipality have expressed displeasure with the recent disturbances of Fulani cattle at night.
According to them, the cattle are not confined in their “kraal”(the locally made cage for the cattle) in the night and as a result, they move round destroying cashew, achia and mango trees and their fruits there by giving residents sleepless night.
The case was reported to the unit committee members, and in an interaction with the Fulani chief of Sabuli, Mahamuda Barry, he admitted to it and said the cattle owners especially, Dagaabas don’t support them in making the “kraal” for the cattle and they the (Fulani) can’t do it alone hence the reason for the night disturbances.
The chief therefore urged the unit committee members to help them talk to the Dagaaba cattle owners in order for “kraals” to be setup for the good of all residents.
