NDC’s Communication Officer of Dafiama-Busie-Issa Constituency, Dennis Andaban has reacted to recent Cases of Corruption within the District’s NADMO Department.

He expressed worry with the inactivenes of the Office after it’s Director was asked to step aside few years Ago.
Statement
Sometime in 2021, the DBI NADMO was being discussed for the wrong reasons. There were issues of corruption allegations that led to the removal of the director and the matter was swept under the carpet. Many believed that the director could not have perpetuated, or cause to be perpetuated, that act of corruption alone since the office is supervised by others.
Indeed, no investigation report came out for the people of DBI to know what really transpired. As usual, the issue was cleared within to prevent any possible embarrassment for the NPP in DBI.
That is history and I do not want to revisit that subject in totality.
My issue is that, since the removal of the District Director, there has not been any replacement (I stand to be corrected): the deputy was neither elevated. I am reliably informed that someone from Nadowli-Kaleo District is still the caretaker. I think the period has been long enough to have a substantive director and not an acting director.
At least, there are still Members of the NPP from DBI who have not benefitted from the party and could be considered. I say this because, that office is one of the offices the government used/uses to reward their party foot soldiers. Indeed, the former director is a former constituency secretary. So why won’t another person be appointed?
These are the things the NPP DBI see and fear to talk about when indeed they are the beneficiaries. I see many youth, some graduates roaming about in frustration yet singing praises on the government each day on social media. This “new job” of social media “vanguardism” isn’t sustainable. You deserve decent jobs. So, if there is a vacancy, why can’t you be assisted to fill it, or nobody from DBI is qualified for that position?
So many wrongs, yet they say everything is alright!!!
